Mission Brief: Dead Drops & Double Agents
May 19 | 7:30–8:30 PM Eastern | Live on Zoom

Tradecraft Travel will host a live online briefing on May 19th from 1930–2030 Eastern to walk through the April 2027 Dead Drops & Double Agents tour—a bespoke, espionage-themed journey through Berlin, Leipzig, Prague, and Vienna.

This session is registration-only via Zoom, and attendance will be capped in line with the spirit of the tour itself: small, focused, and intentional.

The briefing will open with CIA retiree and Tradecraft Travel founder Jack Buchanan, who will outline the company’s approach to travel—built on insight, precision, and a belief that meaningful travel should deepen understanding, not just check boxes. This tour reflects that philosophy directly, pairing destinations with the lived experience of intelligence professionals.

You’ll then hear from John Sipher, retired CIA officer and the other lead guides, who will introduce himself and preview the kinds of conversations that define this experience—grounded, candid discussions about espionage, history, and the human side of intelligence work.

Finally, Silvia Cilia of Kensington Tours will walk through the operational details: the day-by-day itinerary, hotels, transportation, and how the trip is structured on the ground. While the theme centers on espionage, the design allows for free time, independent exploration, and optional excursions—this is not a forced march and there is enough for everyone to enjoy.

Plenty of time will be saved to answer questions.

A few things to be clear about:

  • This is a small-group experience, capped at roughly 15–16 guests
  • Access to guides with real-world intelligence backgrounds is rare—and deliberate
  • The goal is not spectacle, but context, access, and perspective

If that aligns with how you think about travel, this briefing is worth your time. You can reserve your spot here.
