Before founding Tradecraft Travel, I spent most of my career as an analyst. My job was to provide fair, accurate, and well-sourced information to decision-makers so they could make informed choices in complex environments. The goal was never to push an outcome, but to clarify options, risks, and tradeoffs.
That same discipline carries directly into how I advise travel clients.
Travel planning, at its best, is a decision-making exercise. There are countless destinations, cruise lines, tour operators, price points, and timing considerations. Marketing language often obscures meaningful differences, and what works well for one traveler may be wrong for another.
My role is to cut through that noise.
As a travel advisor, I evaluate options the way an analyst evaluates scenarios: weighing benefits and constraints, understanding client priorities, identifying hidden risks, and explaining alternatives clearly. I present clients with accurate information, realistic expectations, and practical recommendations—so they can choose with confidence.
Just as in analysis, trust is built through objectivity and preparation. Clients deserve insight, not sales pressure. My commitment is the same now as it was then: provide the best possible information, tailored to the decision at hand, and let informed judgment guide the outcome.
That’s the tradecraft behind Tradecraft Travel. It is why our motto is Insight That Moves You.
